This Privacy Policy explains how Gisle Team ("Gisle Team", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Gisle mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App" or "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1) Who This Policy Applies To

The Services are intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 17. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

2) What We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: name, username, email address.
• Customer support and communications: content you provide when you contact us and our replies.
• Content you choose to upload or create: photos and text you submit to generate or compose visual stories.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: device model, OS version, language, identifiers and technical signals (such as IP address and app version).
• Usage data and diagnostics: feature usage, interaction data, performance data, and crash logs.
• Location information (only if enabled): approximate or precise location, depending on your settings and permissions.

3) Cookies and Similar Technologies

If parts of the Services use web-based components (for example, embedded web views), we may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and help measure performance and diagnose issues. You can control cookies through your device or browser settings; some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

4) Photos, Faces, and Automated/AI-Like Processing

Gisle helps you transform text and photos into visual story images and collections. Some features may use automated processing, which may include AI-like methods (for example, layout suggestions or text-to-visual composition).

4.1 No Face Recognition / Biometric Profiling

We do not perform face recognition, biometric identification, or create biometric templates from your photos. We do not use your photos to infer sensitive attributes.

4.2 Processing of Uploaded Text/Images

• Processing is performed on our own servers operated for Gisle Team (not on third-party AI platforms).
• We do not share uploaded generation content (your text or photos) with third parties.
• We do not sell this content and do not use it for advertising/marketing profiling or third-party model training.
• After the processing job completes, the uploaded content is deleted promptly (typically immediately after generation completes, subject to transient caching for reliable delivery).

You control whether to upload content and whether to generate output.

4.3 Output Storage

Generated results are, by default, stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

5) How We Use Information

• Provide and maintain the Services (authentication, delivering generated outputs).
• Personalize your experience (saving preferences such as fonts, colors, layouts).
• Improve the Services (analytics, debugging, performance optimization).
• Security and fraud prevention.
• Customer support and communications.
• Legal compliance and enforcement.

We do not sell your personal information.

6) How We Share Information

We may share information only when necessary and to the minimum extent required:

• Service providers (processors): to operate the Services (e.g., infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting) under contractual safeguards.
• With your consent: when you direct us (e.g., sharing/exporting via device features).
• Legal reasons: to comply with law, enforce policies, or protect rights and safety.
• Business transfers: in a merger/acquisition/reorganization, with safeguards.

Note: Uploaded generation/composition content (photos/text) is not shared with third parties.

7) International Data Transfers

Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.

8) Security

• Encryption in transit and, where appropriate, at rest
• Access controls and least-privilege practices
• Regular security reviews/audits
• Backups and disaster recovery measures

9) Data Retention

• Account data: for the duration of your account.
• After deletion: delete or anonymize within 30 days (subject to legal/security needs).
• Usage analytics/diagnostics: generally up to 12 months.
• Support records: generally up to 6 months.
• Uploaded generation/composition content: deleted promptly after processing.

10) Your Rights and Choices

11) Third-Party Links and Services

Third-party services you choose to use (e.g., sharing) are governed by their own policies.

12) Changes to This Policy
